How do the groups providing Free and open source enterprise software model their businesses to make it advantageous for a company to pay for their services? These three interviews offer a contrast in the methodologies of Open For Business, OpenMFG, and ComPiere. All of those e-commerce/ERP/CRM systems are becoming mature and serious contenders with their proprietary siblings. While many enterprise systems have supported platforms like Linux for quite some time, it seems that lately many more are getting known and used because they are open source in their own right.
